Spring 2020 Tutor Information Session

Do you have two free hours a week? Are you compassionate, eager, and energetic? If you answered yes please contact our office to register for the Tutor Information Session.

Lifelong learning is important for economic prosperity and personal growth. Raising the literacy levels of Canadians is one of the most important ways to encourage lifelong learning. To find out more about tutoring our learners, please join us:

When: Wednesday February 5, 2020

Time: 6:00 – 7:30P.M.

Where: Literacy South Halton Office, 460 Brant Street, Burlington Unit 21

Please call our office at 905-631-1770 to register. The Tutor Workshops will take place on both Saturday March 28 and Saturday April 4 from 9:30 AM- 4:00 PM.

Please note if accepted, participation and attendance at two Saturday workshop sessions is mandatory to become certified as a “Laubach tutor”, a valid police check is required, including a $20.00 annual membership fee payable at the workshop. A brief interview will also be conducted before the workshops.

The  Spring tutor workshops are fast approaching.

Saturday March 28, 2020  9:30 – 4:00 P.m.

Saturday April 4, 2020 10:00 – 4:00 P.M.

Saturday March 28th workshop will be held in Centennial Hall, Burlington Public Library, Central Branch, 2331 New Street, Burlington.

Saturday April 4th workshop will be held in the New Appleby Library, 675 Appleby Line, Burlington.

Literacy South Halton and The Centre for Skills Development have partnered to help you learn the basics. Increase your job search skills by learning keyboarding, file management, email usage, internet searching, Microsoft Word and more.
