Tutor Information Session

Calling all volunteer tutors! Do you have two hours to spare a week? Are you enthusiastic? Supportive? Willing to help someone in need? If yes, please join us for our spring Tutor Information Session.

Lifelong learning is important for economic prosperity and personal growth. Raising the literacy levels of Canadians is one of the most important ways to encourage lifelong learning.

When: Wednesday, February 22, 2017.

Where: Our office 460 Brant Street, Suite 21, Burlington

Time: 6:30 – 8:30 P.M.

Please call our office at 905-631-1770 to register. The Tutor Workshops will take place on both Saturday April 1 and Saturday April 8th from 9:30 AM- 4:00 PM.

Please note if accepted, participation and attendance at two Saturday workshop sessions is mandatory to be certified as a “Laubach tutor”, a valid police check is required, including a $20.00 annual membership fee payable at the workshop. A brief interview will also be conducted before the workshops.

"Introduction To Computers" Spring Session

Register for Tuesday evenings or Friday mornings for a FREE 8 week course specially designed for students who have little or no experience using computers.

Literacy South Halton and The Centre for Skills Development and Training have partnered to help you learn the basics. Increase your job search skills by learning keyboarding, file management, email usage, internet searching, Microsoft Word and more.
